Peak Profit ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. If you subscribe to our email list or newsletter, we collect your name and email address to send communications, updates, and promotional content. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send.
When you purchase services or products from us, we collect billing information such as your name, billing address, and payment card details. Payments are processed through third-party processors, including Stripe for online product purchases and QuickBooks Payments for client invoicing. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
If you provide your mobile number and affirmatively check the consent box on one of our forms, or agree to text messaging in a signed service agreement, we collect your mobile number in order to send you text messages related to your request or engagement. These messages may include appointment and session reminders, event reminders, document requests, status updates on your work, reminders to complete a form you started, and replies to questions you send us.
Consent to receive text messages is never required in order to submit a form or purchase a service, and consent boxes are never pre-checked. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and you may reply HELP for assistance.
When you engage Peak Profit for accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or advisory services, we access and hold information belonging to your business in order to perform that work. Depending on the engagement, this may include financial records and transaction data, bank, credit card, and merchant account information, payroll and compensation data, vendor records, tax identification numbers, and credentials granting access to accounting, banking, and payment systems.
We access this information only to perform the services you have engaged us for. Access is limited to the people performing that work. Documents, records, and requests are exchanged through our secure client portal rather than by email, and we do not retain full bank or payment account numbers outside that portal.
We use the information we collect to:
Where required by law (e.g., GDPR/UK), we process your data based on: contractual necessity (to fulfill services you have engaged us for); legitimate interests (to respond to inquiries and improve our services); consent (for email and text marketing); and legal obligation (to comply with applicable law).
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it only with: trusted service providers (email platforms, payment processors, CRM and accounting tools) contractually bound to confidentiality; government or legal authorities when required by law; successors in the event of a merger or acquisition; or as needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of Peak Profit or others.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers collected for text messaging are not sold, rented, or shared for marketing purposes. Mobile information may be shared only with subcontractors who provide support services on our behalf, such as messaging platform providers, and only as needed to deliver the messages you have requested.
We retain contact form submissions for up to 3 years. Email marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe and request deletion. Records of text messaging consent are retained for as long as you remain opted in and for a reasonable period afterward in order to demonstrate that consent was given. Payment and financial records are retained as required by applicable financial regulations. Records belonging to an engagement are retained for the duration of that engagement and for a reasonable period afterward consistent with professional and regulatory requirements, after which they are securely disposed of.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information, and to opt out of marketing at any time. We will respond within 30 days.
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold. These include limiting access to the people performing the work, exchanging documents and access credentials through our secure client portal rather than by email, using multi-factor authentication on systems that support it, and reviewing access when an engagement ends. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not guarantee absolute security.
If we confirm that information we hold about you has been subject to unauthorized access, acquisition, or disclosure, we will notify you within five (5) business days of that confirmation. Our notice will describe what we know about the incident, what categories of information were involved, and the steps we are taking in response. Where applicable law requires notification to affected individuals or to regulators, we will meet those requirements as well.

Our Site and services are not directed to individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
